Product Details

The MAHLE 41228.040 is an oversize engine piston ring set engineered to restore proper compression, oil control, and engine performance during a rebuild or oversize bore application. The .040 suffix denotes a +0.040" (1.00mm) oversize bore specification, designed to fit cylinders that have been bored or honed to accept oversize pistons.

MAHLE is a globally recognized OEM-level manufacturer supplying piston rings to major automotive and powersports manufacturers. Their piston ring sets are produced to strict dimensional and metallurgical tolerances, ensuring reliable sealing, reduced blowby, and long service life.

Key Features:

 • Oversize designation: +0.040" (1.00mm) over standard bore
 • OEM-quality construction meeting or exceeding original equipment specifications
 • Engineered for proper compression ring sealing and oil control
 • Precision ground ring faces for optimized break-in and wear characteristics
 • Designed for use with matching oversize pistons during engine rebuilds
 • Manufactured to MAHLE's exacting quality and dimensional standards

This piston ring set is ideal for engine rebuilders and performance shops requiring reliable oversize ring sets that meet OEM fit and finish standards. Always verify bore diameter with a precision gauge before installation to ensure proper ring-to-wall clearance.

GREAT COMPANY TO DO BUSINESS WITH AND THE BEST PRICES I HAVE FOUND.

good price---hope it ships quick---excited for my build

Very quick and easy.
I hope the installation goes the same way.

First time order, seemed easy to find parts.

The radiator i ordered for my 98 Subaru was an exact fit and was $200 dollars less than the dealership. i would definitely order parts from Autoplicity again.

QUICK AND EASY

Great Company to buy parts from. They always have reasonable prices and reasonable shipping prices. Will buy from them again and again!

Price was perfect, I will definitely be shopping here again.

I loved the low prices and shipping is fast it only took about 4 days to get my parts. The thing that really makes me want to buy again is the customer service, I actually got to talk to a real person when I called!

Well, I'll start with saying this...I wanted a specific product from COBB tuning that they sell. It was priced lower than any other company so I bought it. This happened on the 22nd, I ended up calling them almost a week later to request tracking info. They were very friendly when they notified me it wouldn't be able to ship out till the 3rd of feb. For a 2 lb item I thought this was pretty slow. They apologized for COBB holding the order up. Its now the 7th, should get my item today!! Overall its a good company with friendly employees, Shipping time is lacking but a trade off for the lowest price. I would refer a friend for price and also mention shipping time expectations. I do believe there's something to be said for quality customer service and low prices...It's becoming harder and harder to find companies that posses such qualities. Honestly, if they had a faster shipping method I would give them a perfect rating.
