The MAHLE 40975.020 is a premium plasma-moly piston ring set designed for Chevrolet L6 230/250ci (1963-1999) and AMC/Jeep L6 4.0L engines. This .020" oversize ring set features a 3.895" bore diameter and is engineered with OE form, fit, and function for reliable performance and extended service life.

Ring Construction and Materials:

  • Upper Compression Ring (Top Ring): Cast iron with chrome facing, RF-10U type, 5/64" axial height
  • Lower Compression Ring (Second Ring): Cast iron RBT-10 type, 5/64" axial height
  • Oil Control Ring (Bottom Ring): Stainless steel with chrome facing, CP-20 type, 3/16" axial height
