COMP Cams 4777-100 Valve Spring Locator Set - 1.540" OD, .640" ID, .060" Thick, 100-Pack

The COMP Cams 4777-100 valve spring locator set provides a professional solution for high-performance and racing engine builds that demand precise spring positioning and maximum durability under extreme conditions. This set includes 100 hardened steel alloy spring seats designed to withstand the severe spring pressures and high RPM operation that older standard shims simply cannot handle.

Key Features:

• Hardened steel alloy construction for superior strength and durability
• Inside diameter (ID) locator design with shoulder on the interior
• Minimal machining required compared to traditional cup-style locators
• Protects cylinder head surfaces and maintains spring alignment
• Specifications: 1.540" outer diameter, .640" inner diameter, .060" thickness
• Bulk pack of 100 pieces for multi-cylinder builds or shop inventory

Unlike conventional cup-style spring seats that require extensive head machining to accommodate the external retaining portion, these ID locators feature the locating shoulder on the inside diameter. This innovative design significantly reduces the amount of machine work needed on your cylinder heads while still providing positive spring location and protection for both the head surface and any shims used in your valvetrain setup. Ideal for racing engines, performance street builds, and any application where valve spring stability and component protection are critical.
