The COMP Cams 4772-100 valve spring locator set provides a professional-grade solution for high-performance and racing engine builds. These hardened steel alloy spring seats are engineered to withstand extreme spring pressures and high RPM conditions that would quickly damage traditional stamped shims.

This I.D. locator design represents a significant improvement over older cup-style spring seats that required extensive cylinder head machining to accept the outer retaining shoulder. The internal locating shoulder securely holds and positions the valve spring while requiring only minimal head preparation. The hardened steel alloy material ensures these locators will maintain their integrity under the punishing loads of high-lift camshafts, heavy valve spring pressures, and sustained high-RPM operation found in competitive racing applications.
