Product Details

The COMP Cams 6502UG-1 is a precision-engineered replacement upper gear designed specifically for the #6502 Hi-Tech Belt Drive System. This critical component is part of COMP Cams' infinitely adjustable Vernier timing system for Small Block Chevrolet engines with Big Block crank snouts.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement upper gear for #6502 Hi-Tech Belt Drive Systems
  • Part of the infinitely adjustable Vernier sprocket system for absolute timing accuracy
  • Precision-machined construction for high RPM and high compression durability
  • Designed for serious street performance and racing applications
  • Compatible with idler belt drive configurations

This upper gear works in conjunction with the belt drive system to reduce belt flap throughout the RPM range while absorbing crankshaft harmonics that can cause performance-robbing valve train instability. Essential for maintaining optimal cam timing in demanding performance applications.

Ordered a Simpson helmet on Monday afternoon, received tracking on Monday evening and will have the product on Wednesday! Quick service! Also would like to mention that the price was the lowest of anywhere I looked up.
