Product Details

The EBC Redstuff DP31991C is a low dust ceramic brake pad designed for fast street use. The compound is synthetic fiber based and enhanced with ceramic particles. It is intended for drivers who want strong braking from cold and repeated heavy braking on the road.

Key Features:

  • Low dust: EBC states the pad reduces brake dust by 60-90 percent compared with other pads, and the dust that remains contains no steel fibre particles, so it washes off easily with a sponge.
  • Strong cold bite: Braking from cold is described as equal to or better than original pads, and performance improves as the pad heats up.
  • Improved ceramic compound: Compared with earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff, this compound is described as longer lasting, better braking and quieter.
  • EBC Brake-In surface coating: Conditions the rotor surface and helps speed up pad bed-in.
  • Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5.
  • Brake safety approval: Most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

Bed-in note: This is a hard wearing pad, and bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad takes up the shape of the rotor. Be patient during this period.

Redstuff is a fast road pad that emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads, making it a good choice for spirited street driving.
