DBA DBA4644XS Series XS Cross-Drilled Slotted Brake Rotor - 4000

The DBA 4000 Series XS brake rotor is a direct replacement single piece performance brake rotor designed for drivers seeking upgraded braking performance beyond standard OE levels, featuring a premium non-directional cross-drilled and slotted design with an attractive gold finish on the rotor hub. Cast from high carbon alloyed iron and undergoing Thermal Stability Profiling, this rotor's metallurgy can handle the increased stress and heat generated under intense braking applications repeatedly.

Key Performance Features:

• Cross-drilled holes and slots facilitate the exit of brake pad friction dust and gases, resulting in better braking performance and a quieter, more responsive pedal feel
• Patented Kangaroo Paw ventilation with 144 diamond and teardrop patterned pillars delivers up to 30% increase in surface area and 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight vane designs
• Heat treatment cycles realign the microstructure of the iron for increased rotor stability and durability
• Centre-split core castings for enhanced heat transfer and thermal efficiency
• Symmetrical slotting and drilling for universal left/right use
• Painted non-friction areas prevent rust and enhance appearance

The XS version is ideal for high performance street use. Thermographic heat paint markings change color at specific temperature thresholds to assist with monitoring braking temperatures and rotor fatigue.
