Product Details

The Moroso 61740 Harmonic Balancer Installation Tool is designed for safe, professional installation of harmonic balancers on small block Chevy engines and any engine with a 7/16"-20 threaded crankshaft hole. This specialized tool threads directly into the crankshaft, allowing you to pull the harmonic balancer into position smoothly and evenly without damaging the crankshaft snout or balancer hub.

Key Features:

  • Fits small block Chevy (SBC) and other engines with 7/16"-20 crankshaft threads
  • Prevents damage to crankshaft threads and balancer during installation
  • Ensures proper balancer seating for reliable engine operation
  • Professional-grade tool construction for shop and track use
  • Eliminates the need for hammering or improper installation methods

Using the proper installation tool is critical for maintaining crankshaft integrity and ensuring the harmonic balancer is seated correctly. This tool provides the mechanical advantage needed to install the balancer safely and prevent costly engine damage from improper installation techniques.

My name is Doug Raber and I tell you the truth when I say autoplicity is a great site to shop for auto parts. The prices are low and the customer service is excellent.

Good transaction, no problems, fast ship, quality product. Thanks

Great price - quick delivery tool looks heavy duty...not used it yet - but compared to the flimsy tool I already tried - this things looks heavy duty...big dia threads and nut to drive on balancer and heavy duty bearing to take the thrust load...I don;t think I'll have any problems...other units had short length threaded tip that goes into the brank..I heard they can break off...this unit looks to be longer threads and well made.

So far so good

Seller was quick and hasle free to deal with. Will purchase again from this seller.
