Prothane 7-124-BL Polyurethane Body Mount Kit Black GM Mid-Size Convertible 1968-1972

The Prothane 7-124-BL is a polyurethane body mount bushing kit specifically engineered for 1968–1972 GM mid-size convertibles, including the Chevrolet Chevelle, El Camino, and Monte Carlo. Replacing worn OEM rubber body mounts is one of the most cost-effective upgrades available for improving chassis rigidity and overall driving feel on classic GM A-body platforms.

Prothane's proprietary polyurethane compound delivers significantly greater structural rigidity than the factory rubber bushings while retaining enough resilience to absorb road noise and vibration for a comfortable ride. Unlike rubber, polyurethane resists degradation from road grime, oils, and UV exposure — making these body mounts a long-lasting solution suited for both street driving and off-road use.

Key Features:

• Formulated from high-performance polyurethane — more durable than OEM rubber
• Resists compression set, road grime, oil, and UV degradation
• Provides improved chassis rigidity for better handling and feel
• Engineered specifically for the convertible body structure of 1968–1972 GM mid-size models
• Available in black (BL) or red — this listing is for the black version
• Suitable for both street and off-road applications
• Each bushing is precision-molded to OEM dimensional specifications for a correct fit

This kit is designed exclusively for the convertible body style — the unique structural requirements of open-top models differ from hardtop variants, which use a separate Prothane kit (7-123). If you're restoring or building a classic GM A-body convertible, the 7-124-BL is the correct replacement body mount set.
