Product Details

The Sachs SG401006 is a gas-charged lift support designed for trunk applications on various Audi and Volkswagen vehicles. This pressurized cylinder provides smooth, reliable support to assist in opening and holding your trunk lid in the raised position, eliminating the need for prop rods and ensuring safe, convenient access to your cargo area.

Key Features:

  • Gas-charged design for consistent lifting force throughout the product life
  • Direct OE replacement for worn or failed factory lift supports
  • Manufactured by Sachs, a trusted OEM supplier with over 120 years of experience
  • Also sold under the Stabilus brand name (part number 5B-2697LZ)
  • Vehicle-specific fit ensures proper installation and operation

Sachs is part of the ZF Group and supplies original equipment lift supports to major European automakers. When your trunk no longer stays open on its own or requires extra effort to lift, replacing worn lift supports with genuine Sachs components restores your vehicle's original functionality and convenience. Cross-reference part numbers include SG401022 and various OEM numbers.

Good order experience although I received one confusing email from Autoplicity and had to call them to get it straight. Shipping was a little slower than I would have liked.
