GPD 1711470 A/C High Side Pressure Switch

The GPD 1711470 is an HVAC pressure switch designed to monitor and regulate air conditioning system operation. This binary switch provides critical feedback to the engine management system, allowing the ECM to control the A/C compressor and prevent system damage.

Key Features:

• Binary switch design for precise pressure monitoring
• Designed to meet or exceed OEM specifications for reliable performance
• Durability tested to ensure long service life
• Voltage and amperage draw tested for proper electrical function
• Provides feedback to engine control module for optimal A/C operation
• Protects compressor from damage by monitoring refrigerant pressure

This pressure switch is an essential component of the vehicle's air conditioning system, monitoring high-side refrigerant pressure and sending signals to the ECM. In modern vehicles, the ECM uses this information to control compressor operation, while in earlier vehicles, the switch directly controls compressor cycling to prevent failure from low refrigerant levels or excessive pressure.
