Product Details

The Gates 23945 is a premium molded radiator coolant hose engineered to deliver OEM-quality performance for specific cooling system applications. This pre-shaped hose is manufactured to fit upper, lower, bypass, heater, or other coolant routing requirements, providing a direct replacement solution that saves time and ensures proper fitment.

Key Features:

  • Pre-molded design ensures perfect fit and properly sealed connections
  • EPDM (Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer) tube and cover construction for superior durability
  • Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
  • Synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for strength and flexibility
  • Heat and ozone resistant materials withstand harsh under-hood conditions
  • Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
  • Approved for marine applications
  • Meets SAE 20R3 or SAE 20R4 specifications depending on hose diameter

Gates molded coolant hoses are designed to combat electrochemical degradation, which occurs when the hose, liquid coolant, and metal fittings create a galvanic reaction that causes micro-cracks in the hose tube. This precision-engineered hose provides reliable, leak-free performance and is part of Gates' comprehensive line of cooling system components. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing.
