Product Details

The Dorman 905-525 Tilt Steering Column Release Cable provides a cost-effective repair solution for failed tilt column release cables. When the original cable fails on certain vehicles, the OEM typically requires replacement of the entire steering column assembly—an expensive and unnecessary repair.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for the factory tilt column release cable
  • OE FIX solution eliminates the need to purchase an entire column assembly
  • Engineered to match original equipment specifications for reliable performance
  • Restores proper tilt steering column lock and release functionality
  • Significant cost savings compared to complete assembly replacement

This replacement cable is designed to restore the tilt function of your steering column, allowing you to adjust the steering wheel position for optimal driving comfort. Dorman's OE FIX design focuses on repairing the specific failed component rather than replacing the entire system, making it an economical choice for vehicle owners and repair shops.
