Airtex 5S12407 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

The Airtex 5S12407 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor is a direct-fit replacement sensor designed to monitor your engine's coolant temperature and transmit critical data to the engine control module (ECM). This sensor plays a vital role in engine performance by providing real-time temperature readings that help the ECM optimize fuel injection, ignition timing, and transmission shifting for maximum efficiency and reliability.

Key Features:

• Engineered and tested to meet or exceed OE specifications for precise fit and performance
• Features advanced designs and technology for enhanced longevity and accurate output
• Monitors coolant temperature changes and sends vital information to the ECM
• Helps prevent engine damage by enabling proper performance calculations
• Direct replacement for worn or failed factory sensors
• 2-terminal male blade connector for plug-and-play installation

A failing coolant temperature sensor can cause inaccurate temperature readings, poor fuel economy, Check Engine light activation, or overheating without warning. The Airtex 5S12407 restores proper engine management system function, ensuring your temperature gauge operates correctly and your ECM receives accurate data for optimal engine performance. This sensor is also known by cross-reference number TX229 and replaces GM OEM number 89019319.
