Gates 22712 Premium Molded Coolant Hose

The Gates 22712 is a premium molded coolant hose engineered to provide OEM-quality performance for radiator and cooling system applications. This factory-molded hose is pre-shaped for precise fitment, ensuring perfectly sealed conditions for upper, lower, bypass, or heater hose applications.

Key Features:

• EPDM rubber construction with synthetic fiber knit reinforcement for superior durability
• Engineered to resist electrochemical degradation (ECD), the leading cause of coolant hose failure
• Heat and ozone-resistant EPDM cover withstands extreme temperature cycling
• Pre-molded design eliminates the need for custom bending or fitment issues
• Temperature range: -40°F to +275°F (-40°C to +135°C)
• Meets or exceeds SAE 20R4 EC Class D1 specifications
• Approved for marine applications

Gates coolant hoses feature advanced compound formulation that resists the electrochemical reactions that cause micro-cracks and premature failure in standard hoses. The precision-molded construction ensures accurate routing through tight engine compartments while maintaining proper coolant flow. Gates recommends replacing hose clamps each time a new coolant hose is installed for optimal sealing performance.
