The Gates 22706 is a premium molded EPDM coolant hose engineered to OEM-quality specifications for a precise, leak-free fit. Designed as a direct replacement for upper, lower, bypass, heater, and other coolant circuit applications, this factory pre-shaped hose eliminates the guesswork and cutting associated with straight hose alternatives.

Gates molded coolant hoses are built to combat electrochemical degradation (ECD) — the leading cause of hose failure. ECD occurs when the hose, liquid coolant, and engine or radiator fittings form a galvanic cell, creating a chemical reaction that causes micro-cracks in the hose tube. Gates engineered the EPDM compound in this hose with superior electrochemical resistance to extend service life and prevent premature failure.
