AMS Automotive 4952L Hatch Lift Support for Eagle and Mitsubishi

The AMS Automotive 4952L is a gas-charged hatch lift support engineered for specific Eagle and Mitsubishi applications. This precision-manufactured component provides reliable assistance in raising and safely holding your vehicle's hatch in the open position.

How Gas Charged Lift Supports Work:

Gas charged lift supports function as energy storage devices that compress gas inside a sealed cylinder. When the hatch is closed, energy is stored under compression. Upon opening, this energy is released in a controlled manner to smoothly raise the hatch and maintain it securely in the open position, eliminating the need for manual support.

Quality Testing and Manufacturing:

• Each lift support is tested in four different positions during compression and extension to measure speed and force characteristics
• Subjected to two overload tests to ensure structural integrity and safe operation
• Custom engineered and manufactured to exceed industry standards
• Designed for smoother operation and extended service life

Important Installation Note:

Lift supports should always be replaced in pairs to ensure balanced, safe, and reliable support. Using mismatched or worn lift supports can result in uneven hatch operation and potential safety hazards.

This lift support is application-specific and designed to match the exact force and stroke requirements of your vehicle. Proper fitment ensures optimal performance and longevity.
