Stromberg Carlson 17388 Rear Parking Brake Hardware Kit

The Carlson 17388 is a comprehensive rear parking brake hardware kit that includes all the parts necessary to completely replace old hardware, restoring your parking brake system to optimal performance. This complete kit is designed for vehicles with rear disc brakes featuring integrated drum-style parking brakes (drum-in-hat configuration).

Complete Kit Includes:

• New return springs for proper shoe retraction
• Hold down parts to secure brake shoes in position
• Adjusting screws for precise brake adjustment
• Adjusting springs for consistent brake operation

Built to OE standards and specifications, this hardware kit ensures even shoe contact and wear while eliminating common parking brake issues. The kit helps minimize brake drag for better gas mileage and prevents premature brake wear. Over time, parking brake hardware exposed to extreme heat can lose tension and fail to properly return shoes, causing drag, noise, and excessive wear. This complete replacement kit restores like-new parking brake performance and should be installed whenever parking brake shoes are replaced.
