At the heart of the SC553 is a carbon semi-metallic friction disc in a 4 or 6 puck configuration — 6 puck is standard on most applications, with 4 puck available when specified at the time of ordering. The puck-style disc is paired with a high-torque sprung hub featuring a double-sprung design with spring cover reliefs for added flexibility, and heat-treated components for long-term strength and durability. A high-clamp pressure plate maximizes clamping force to handle elevated power levels, while still providing good wear characteristics under both low and high-stress driving conditions.
