The Spec Clutch SD653H Stage 2 Plus Clutch Kit is engineered for modified engines that demand more torque capacity than a standard Stage 2 clutch can deliver, while preserving the street-friendly engagement characteristics drivers expect. Designed, hand-built, and tested in the U.S.A., this kit effectively bridges the gap between the Stage 2 and Stage 3 in SPEC's performance clutch lineup.

At the heart of the Stage 2 Plus is a full-faced multi-friction disc featuring carbon semi-metallic material on one side and Kevlar® on the other. This hybrid construction delivers a 15–20% higher torque capacity over the Stage 2 while maintaining excellent drivability and engagement feel for everyday street use. The double-sprung hub incorporates spring cover reliefs for added flexibility, and heat-treated internal components ensure long-term strength and durability under demanding conditions.
