Autobest F2978A Fuel Pump Module Assembly

The Autobest F2978A is a complete fuel pump module assembly designed to deliver reliable fuel management and consistent fuel delivery from tank to engine. This integrated assembly combines all critical fuel system components in a single, pre-assembled unit for straightforward replacement.

Complete Module Assembly Components:

• Fuel Reservoir: Fuel-resistant molded plastic body that retains gasoline to ensure consistent fuel availability during all operating conditions, including acceleration, cornering, and low fuel situations
• Fuel Pump: Electric pump that delivers pressurized fuel from the tank to the engine fuel system
• Fuel Strainer: External filtration element that removes contaminants before fuel enters the module (select applications include an additional internal non-serviceable strainer)
• Fuel Level Sender Unit: Precision resistance-based sender that communicates fuel level information to the instrument cluster gauge
• Float Assembly: Measures fuel level in the tank and works in conjunction with the sender unit
• Retention Spring: Temperature-compensating spring that maintains proper reservoir positioning at the tank bottom across varying operating temperatures

This module assembly provides OE-style fit and function, eliminating the need to purchase individual fuel system components separately. Autobest designs their modules to meet original equipment specifications for form, fit, and performance.
