Product Details

The OTC Tools 5039 Charged Air Cooler Tester provides a fast and reliable method for detecting air leaks in charged air cooler (CAC) systems on heavy-duty class 7 and 8 truck engines. This professional-grade diagnostic tool helps technicians quickly identify intercooler leaks that can cause reduced engine performance, increased fuel consumption, and decreased boost pressure.

Key Features:

  • Large 2-1/2 inch pressure gauge with 0-60 PSI range for easy reading during testing
  • Built-in regulator and relief valve for safe, controlled pressure application
  • Quick disconnect air fittings accommodate 3 inch, 3-1/2 inch, and 4 inch cooler hoses
  • Includes two safety cables to secure connections during pressurization
  • Designed specifically for heavy-duty diesel engine applications

This complete tester kit allows technicians to pressurize the charged air cooler system and listen for leaks or observe pressure drops, making it an essential tool for diagnosing turbocharger system issues, performing preventive maintenance, and verifying repairs on commercial trucks and heavy equipment.
