Product Details

The NRG Innovations HD-700 Hood Damper Kit is a polished hood strut system designed to replace your factory hood prop with a safer, more stylish solution. Engineered to prevent accidental hood closures while working on your vehicle, these dampers keep the hood firmly raised and stable — even under high wind conditions — and have been thoroughly tested for repeated, long-term use.

Built with oil-filled shocks, the HD-700 features both lift-assist and slow-decline functionality, making it suitable for use with lightened aftermarket hoods (FRP/carbon fiber) as well as standard factory steel hoods. Two pressure variants are available: one calibrated for lightweight hoods and one for standard-weight hoods — please specify when ordering.

Key Features:

 • Polished stainless steel finish with lightweight alloy shaft and casing
 • Hydraulic oil-filled shocks with lift-assist and slow-decline operation
 • Hydraulic oil seals on end links for durability and heat resistance
 • Remains stable and secure under high wind conditions
 • Thoroughly tested for repeated use
 • Weighs approximately 200g (0.44 lbs) per unit — minimal added weight
 • Two types available: lightweight hood applications and standard hood applications
 • Easy installation with all mounting hardware included

Whether you're showing off under-hood modifications at a car meet or wrenching in the garage, the NRG HD-700 hood damper provides a clean, professional look along with genuine safety and convenience benefits.

Excellent product. Prompt delivery. Will continue use Autoplicity when needed.

Found the parts I needed for my vehicle's TPMS system that I could not get anywhere else. They were a better price than any of the other online stores and got my order shipped out in a timely fashion.

Excellent business. This is my second purchase and there will be more! I ordered my parts over the holiday weekend and they mailed them the Tuesday after Labor Day. The absolute BEST pricing you will get. You will not find a lower price else ware. The shipping doesn't even take forever like most places you get great pricing. Communication is excellent, the site is very easy to use and navigate. I will be doing business with Autoplicity.com many more times and highly recommend them.

so far so good

I was apprehensiveness at first to make a major purchase with Autoplicity due to their extremely low price and lack of reviews. I decided to take the chance and I am very glad I did. I made my order on a Monday morning at 0900 eastern time and my product arrived on Wednesday at 3pm. The item was exactly as described and the most astonishing part is that my purchase was released from the factory less than 45 days ago. I was expecting a model that had been sitting on a shelf for the last year and needed to be updated. That was not the case. I will definitely order from Autoplicity again in the future.

Best price I could find on the net and super fast shipping.

Great Prices and great communication. I received notification as soon as I made the order, and when it was shipped out, along with a Tracking number. They were very quick to mail it out too.

Thanks

Order number 13029

Very fast shipping, lowest prices on the web.

Fast shipping, good communication, a pleasure to do business with. I would definitely buy from again.

Communication was acceptable and shipping times within initial promise. Would and will buy from them again...
