Product Details

The NRG Innovations Hood Damper provides a safe, reliable solution for keeping your vehicle's hood securely open while working under the hood. Engineered to prevent accidental hood closure that can cause injury, this hydraulic lift support also showcases your engine bay modifications with a clean, professional appearance. The damper maintains stable hood positioning even in high wind conditions and has been rigorously tested for long-term durability.

Key Features:

  • Oil-filled hydraulic shock with lift assist and controlled slow decline
  • Polished stainless steel construction with lightweight alloy shaft and casing
  • Hydraulic oil seals and reinforced end links for maximum durability
  • Heat-resistant design withstands engine bay temperatures
  • Lightweight at only 200 grams (0.44 lbs) per damper
  • Available in two versions: standard hoods and lightweight/carbon fiber hoods
  • Complete installation hardware included

This hood damper replaces traditional prop rods with a modern, space-saving hydraulic strut system. The light dampening design is ideal for both OEM and aftermarket lightweight hoods, providing smooth operation and eliminating the hassle of manual hood props.

great price

Excellent business. This is my second purchase and there will be more! I ordered my parts over the holiday weekend and they mailed them the Tuesday after Labor Day. The absolute BEST pricing you will get. You will not find a lower price else ware. The shipping doesn't even take forever like most places you get great pricing. Communication is excellent, the site is very easy to use and navigate. I will be doing business with Autoplicity.com many more times and highly recommend them.
