The Victor 54579A Black Diamond Cylinder Head Gasket is a premium multi-layered steel gasket designed for 2006-2007 Ford 6.0L Powerstroke diesel engines with 20mm alignment dowels. This high-performance head gasket features Victor Reinz's advanced Black Diamond coating technology for superior sealing and durability.

Construction and Features:

  • Five-layer stainless steel construction for maximum strength and reliability
  • Proprietary Black Diamond fluoroelastomer coating for enhanced sealing performance
  • Compressed thickness of 0.059 inches (1.52mm)
  • Cylinder bore diameter of 3.740 inches (95mm)
  • Integrated push rod locators for precise positioning
  • Includes 20mm cylinder head dowel pins

Application:

  • Ford 6.0L Powerstroke V8 diesel engines manufactured January 12, 2006 and newer
  • Serial numbers 299,093 and after (F-Series trucks)
  • Serial numbers 3,723,722 and after (E-Series vans)
  • Compatible with engines using 20mm alignment dowels

The Black Diamond coating is engineered to seal and impregnate into mating surfaces, reducing friction while allowing controlled thermal expansion without fretting or damage to aluminum components. The coating provides cold sealing capability, maximum adhesion, and excellent resistance to engine fluids including gasoline, oil, and coolant. Victor Reinz, now manufactured by MAHLE, maintains a long-standing reputation for producing OEM-quality gaskets that deliver reliable sealing and long-lasting performance.

Note: Sold individually. Two gaskets required for complete engine rebuild (one per cylinder head).

All in all, a great, money saving experience.<br><br>Update:<br>While I am still pleased with the service I received, I find it odd that Autoplicity emailed me and offered me a refund of $5 for writing a review. It has been a couple of weeks since I posted my review, and I have yet to see any credits on my credit card.
