Spectra STR39 Premium Fuel Pump Strainer OE Replacement

The Spectra Premium STR39 is a direct-fit OE replacement fuel pump strainer designed to restore proper fuel system filtration. Installed inside the fuel tank as part of the fuel pump module assembly, the strainer serves as the first line of defense against contaminants entering the fuel pump, helping prevent premature pump failure and protecting downstream fuel system components.

The fuel pump strainer filters out debris, dirt, and particulate matter from the fuel before it reaches the pump. Over time, strainers can become clogged with sediment and tank deposits, restricting fuel flow and volume — leading to lean conditions, hard starts, and pump damage. Replacing the strainer at the time of fuel pump service is strongly recommended to ensure long-term system health.
