Product Details

The Spectra Premium STR23 is a direct-fit, OE-replacement fuel pump strainer (also known as a fuel pump sock or fuel pump filter) engineered to protect your fuel pump from damaging debris and contaminants inside the fuel tank.

Why Replace Your Fuel Pump Strainer?

Nearly 75% of aftermarket fuel pump failures are caused by a contaminated fuel system. The in-tank strainer is your fuel pump's primary line of defense, filtering sediment and particulate before they can reach and damage critical pump components. Replacing the strainer at the time of pump installation is a best practice that extends pump life and maintains optimal fuel flow.

Key Features:

  • Gradient density filtration — engineered to trap contaminants while maintaining consistent fuel flow
  • OE-matched design — engineered to stringent tolerances based on in-depth knowledge of the original equipment part it replaces
  • Validated materials — strainer material is tested and validated for fuel capacity and compatibility
  • Direct replacement fit — no modifications required for proper installation
  • Meets or exceeds OEM performance standards — designed and engineered in North America under strict quality controls

The Spectra Premium STR23 is sold individually and is an ideal replacement when performing a fuel pump service or in-tank fuel module repair.
