Product Details

The Airtex 1S3500 is a direct-fit trunk lid release cable designed to restore proper trunk opening function on compatible GM passenger vehicles. This mechanical cable connects the interior trunk release lever or handle to the trunk latch mechanism, allowing the driver to unlatch the trunk from inside the cabin.

When the original cable stretches, frays, or breaks, the trunk release handle loses tension and fails to actuate the latch. The Airtex 1S3500 is engineered to match the routing, length, and end fittings of the factory cable, making it a reliable drop-in replacement without modification.

Key Features:

  • Direct OEM replacement trunk lid release cable
  • Matches factory cable routing, length, and end fitting specifications
  • Restores proper trunk release handle operation
  • Replaces OEM part numbers 12531676 and SW3798
  • Manufactured by Airtex Automotive Division, a trusted name in OE-quality replacement parts

OEM / Alternate Part Numbers: 12531676, SW3798

This cable is intended for professional or DIY installation and is a cost-effective solution for restoring reliable trunk access without replacing the entire trunk latch assembly.
