Mr. Gasket: Racer-Proven Sealing and Performance Parts
Mr. Gasket is one of the best-known names in the performance aftermarket. The brand began in 1964 when drag racer Joe Hrudka used his own '57 Chevy as a rolling test bed. Competing at Cleveland-area tracks, he built a reputation for head gaskets, exhaust gaskets, oil pan gaskets and fasteners that held up to the punishing heat and pressure of racing. Today Mr. Gasket is part of Holley Performance, and the catalog has grown far beyond its namesake product.
More Than Gaskets
The name says gaskets, but the range covers much more: carburetor and fuel system components, chrome-plated engine dress-up pieces, cooling accessories, shifter parts, specialty tools, and heavy-duty suspension and driveline hardware. Typical items include Ultra-Seal intake manifold gaskets, supercharger blower base gaskets, phenolic carburetor spacers, chrome water necks, and manifold bolt sets. The brand is also known for billet and cast aluminum dress-up pieces such as valve covers, air cleaners and master cylinder covers.
Popular Mr. Gasket Categories
Sealing the top end is where many builders start. A Mr. Gasket engine valve cover set pairs a cover with the right gasket and hardware, and the brand offers both cork-and-rubber Ultra-Seal designs for stock-style rebuilds and polished cast aluminum covers for show-quality engine bays.
Lower in the engine, a Mr. Gasket engine oil sump windage tray helps control oil movement around the crankshaft. Some designs combine the tray and oil pan gasket in one reusable piece made from glass-filled nylon with molded rubber seals, so the pan can be removed without scraping off old gaskets.
For drivetrain work, a Mr. Gasket automatic transmission oil pan gives popular GM transmissions, such as the TH350 and 700R4/4L60E, a finished aluminum pan with a black coating. Builders restoring or swapping a powertrain can also look at a Mr. Gasket starter motor to get the engine turning over reliably.
Why Enthusiasts Choose Mr. Gasket
- Heritage: A brand born at the drag strip and built around real-world sealing problems.
- Application depth: Coverage for classic small-block and big-block Chevy, Ford and Mopar engines, plus carburetor and intake combinations.
- Range: One brand can supply gaskets, fasteners, fuel parts, cooling accessories and tools for the same project.
Whether you are sealing a fresh engine build or chasing a stubborn leak on a classic, matching the part to your engine family, stroke, and flange or rail style is the key to a leak-free result. Mr. Gasket's long-running catalog makes that match easier for restorers, racers and weekend builders.
