Product Details

The Dorman 973-407 is a complete HVAC blower motor resistor kit that includes both a resistor and harness pigtail, designed to replace overheated or corroded original equipment resistors. This easy-to-install device controls the electric current to the fan motor, keeping your heating and air conditioning system at peak performance at every speed.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement that directly replaces the original equipment on select Chevrolet, GMC, and Isuzu vehicle years, makes and models
  • Complete repair solution with resistor and harness pigtail included, essential for most repairs
  • Restores full HVAC functionality and is made to perform like original equipment
  • Long-lasting design that resists thermal fuse failure, overheating, and burnout
  • Backed by a team of engineers and quality specialists in the USA
  • Features 2 male blade-type connectors with 2 mounting holes

This kit cross-references to GM part numbers 1580560, 22941007, 89018770, and Isuzu numbers 8229410070, 8890187700. The resistor and wiring harness work together to prevent the common failure caused by heat and corrosion at the connector terminals, providing a comprehensive repair solution that addresses both the resistor and damaged wiring.
