Product Details

The Sherman 900-71 is a replacement tailgate shell designed specifically for Chevrolet and GMC C/K series Fleetside pickup trucks from 1988 to 2002. This tailgate shell provides an affordable alternative to replacing an entire tailgate assembly when the outer skin is damaged by rust, dents, or corrosion.

Key Features:

  • Direct replacement for OEM tailgate outer panel
  • Fits Chevy/GMC C/K Fleetside models from 1988-2002
  • Manufactured by Sherman, a trusted name in automotive replacement body panels
  • Requires professional installation and welding to existing tailgate frame
  • Arrives EDP coated to prevent corrosion during shipping and storage
  • Must be primed and painted to match vehicle

This tailgate shell is an outer skin only and is designed to be welded onto your existing tailgate frame and inner structure. Professional installation is recommended as this part requires cutting away the old outer skin and welding the new shell in place. After installation, the shell must be properly prepared, primed, and painted for a factory-quality finish.
