Product Details

The Sherman 579-504R is a right-hand tailgate cable designed as a direct replacement for Ford F-150, F-250 LD Styleside, and F-Super Duty pickup trucks. This essential component connects the tailgate to the truck bed, allowing smooth controlled lowering and preventing damage from sudden drops.

Key Features:

  • Right-hand (passenger side) tailgate cable assembly
  • Precision-engineered to meet OEM specifications for proper fit and function
  • Durable steel cable construction for long-lasting performance
  • Direct replacement for worn or damaged original cables
  • Restores proper tailgate operation and safety

Fitment:

  • Ford F-150 and F-250 LD Styleside pickups (1997-2003) excluding 4-door Crew Cab models
  • Ford F-Super Duty pickups (1999-2007)

Replacing a damaged or frayed tailgate cable is critical for safe tailgate operation. A failed cable can cause the tailgate to drop suddenly, potentially causing injury or damage. This Sherman replacement cable ensures your tailgate functions as intended with smooth, controlled operation.
