Product Details

The Sherman 022-71 is a direct OEM-replacement tailgate shell engineered to restore the factory appearance and function of the rear gate on the Jeep Wrangler TJ. Designed as a bolt-on replacement, this shell utilizes the vehicle's existing mounting hardware for a straightforward, no-modification installation.

Key Features:

  • Steel Construction: Manufactured from automotive-grade steel for long-lasting durability and resistance to impact, scratches, and abrasion
  • EDP Coated Finish: Electro-deposition primer (EDP) coating provides a corrosion-resistant base layer and prepares the surface for paint
  • OEM-Style Design: Engineered to match original factory specifications for a precise, seamless fit
  • Unpainted / Ready to Paint: Shell arrives in an unfinished state, ready to be painted to match your vehicle's color
  • Bolt-On Installation: Uses factory mounting points and existing hardware — no drilling or cutting required
  • Shell Only: Does not include handle, latch, hinges, or hardware

The Sherman 022-71 tailgate shell is an ideal solution for restoring a Wrangler TJ tailgate damaged by rust, collision, or years of off-road use. The Partslink number for this part is CH1900124.
