Product Details

The Cometic C5861-018 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for the Subaru EZ30D Mark I engine. This gasket features a 90mm bore diameter and .018" compressed thickness, providing a reliable seal for the left-hand side (LHS) cylinder head.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
  • 0.018" (18 thousandths) compressed thickness for precise engine compression control
  • 90mm bore diameter designed specifically for Subaru EZ30D applications
  • Left-hand side (LHS) cylinder head fitment
  • Engineered to withstand extreme temperatures and cylinder pressures
  • Resistant to gas and coolant leakage

Cometic MLS gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, which provides the embossment needed to seal imperfections on the head and block surface. The MLS design allows the gasket to recover and maintain its sealing integrity even under severe thermal cycling and pressure conditions commonly experienced in horizontally-opposed engines like the Subaru EZ30D boxer six-cylinder.
