Product Details

The Gates K120979 Micro-V Serpentine Belt is a precision-engineered 12-rib belt measuring 98.11 inches in length, designed to deliver superior performance in demanding automotive applications. This heavy-duty serpentine belt features Gates' exclusive truncated rib profile and advanced EPDM rubber construction for exceptional durability and reliability.

Key Features:

  • 12-rib configuration for maximum power transmission capacity
  • 98.11-inch (2490mm) length for precise OE fitment
  • EPDM rubber construction resists cracking, heat, and weathering
  • Aramid fiber tensile cords provide high strength and minimal stretch
  • Unique form grinding ensures precise dimensional control
  • Truncated rib profile reduces heat buildup and prevents belt bottoming
  • Special construction eliminates belt noise and reduces tension loss
  • Meets or exceeds SAE J1459, SAE J2432, and SAE J1596 specifications

Gates Micro-V belts are engineered with the same advanced materials and construction methods used in original equipment applications. The shortened rib profile delivers increased flexibility for small-diameter pulleys and backside idlers, while fiber-reinforced ribs provide excellent wear resistance for extended service life. Ideal for multi-shaft serpentine drive systems requiring heavy-duty performance.
