Gates K080986 Micro-V Serpentine Belt - 8-Rib

The Gates K080986 is a high-performance 8-rib Micro-V belt engineered for demanding serpentine and multi-shaft drive applications. This belt features Gates' exclusive truncated rib profile technology, which provides superior flexibility compared to conventional V-ribbed belts, making it ideal for extra-high speed drives and small-diameter sheave applications.

Key Features:

• 8-rib Micro-V design with truncated rib profile for enhanced flexibility
• Prevents belt bottoming out in sheave grooves for consistent power transmission
• Tolerates debris accumulation in grooves without performance degradation
• Reduced heat build-up extends belt service life
• Optimized for serpentine, multi-shaft, backside idler, and V-flat drive configurations
• Advanced construction handles high-speed operation on small-diameter pulleys

This Micro-V belt delivers reliable performance in automotive, industrial, and commercial applications where space constraints and multiple accessory drives require a compact, efficient power transmission solution. The shortened rib geometry ensures proper sheave engagement while maintaining the flexibility needed for complex routing paths with multiple direction changes.
