Product Details

The Gates A71 Hi-Power II V-Belt is a heavy-duty, multipurpose power transmission belt designed for industrial and agricultural applications including HVAC systems, conveyor systems, centrifugal pumps, air compressors, and crushers. This A-section belt features a 73-inch outside circumference with a top width of 1/2 inch and thickness of 5/16 inch.

Key Features:

  • EPDM rubber construction for resistance to weathering, oils, water, and some solvents
  • Flex-Weave cover with patented single layer fabric construction protects the belt core from oil, dirt, and heat for extended cover life
  • Flex-bonded polyester cords strongly bond to the belt body for uniform load distribution and absorption of bending stress without cord deterioration
  • Arched top provides superior strength to prevent dishing and distortion of the tensile section
  • Operating temperature range: -30°C to +60°C (-22°F to +140°F)
  • Part of Gates V80 matching system for precise belt matching in multiple belt drives
  • Meets ARPM/RMA IP-3-2 oil and heat resistant standards and IP-3-3 static conductivity requirements

The A71 can be used individually in single belt drives or in sets of two or more belts for higher horsepower applications. The wrapped cover makes this belt suitable for clutching applications.

My order had a delay. I believe this was due to the fact that it was shipping from the manufacturer so I can't really blame Autoplicity. The customer service team did not originally respond to my first e-mail, but they did respond to me once I opened a dispute in PayPal and the issue was resolved. I couldn't find a better price on the part I ordered though (or anything remotely near that price for that matter).
