Product Details

The Gates 28609 is a plastic reducer hose connector designed to join heater hoses with different diameters, transitioning from 1/2" to 3/8". This connector provides a reliable, leak-free connection for automotive cooling system applications.

Key Features:

  • Unique single barb design ensures superior sealability between single or dual inside diameter hoses
  • Glass-reinforced nylon construction resists chemicals and withstands temperatures up to 480°F (250°C)
  • Built-in bulkheads guarantee proper insertion depth for secure hose attachment
  • Anti-rotation device prevents hose twisting during installation and operation
  • O-ring retention design provides OE-equivalent performance
  • Reducer configuration (1/2" to 3/8") allows connection of different diameter hoses

Ideal for heater hose repairs and custom cooling system configurations in cars and trucks. The durable plastic construction and high temperature resistance make this connector suitable for demanding under-hood environments.
