OTC Tools 1977 Pinion Locknut Socket Drive - 2-1/4 6-Point 3/4

The OTC 1977 pinion locknut socket is specifically engineered to provide proper clearance for yoke and locknut assemblies on truck transmissions and differentials. This specialized socket eliminates the need to modify standard sockets by grinding them down to achieve the tight clearances required for pinion nut service.

Key Features:

• 2-1/4" hex size fits common pinion locknuts on medium and heavy-duty trucks
• 6-point design resists rounding and provides maximum grip on fasteners
• 3" of usable depth with 4" overall length for accessing recessed pinion nuts
• 3/4" square drive for use with manual ratchets, breaker bars, and torque wrenches
• Precision-machined clearances accommodate yoke assemblies without interference

This professional-grade socket is designed exclusively for manual 3/4" drive tools and should not be used with impact wrenches. Ideal for differential service, transmission work, and driveline maintenance on commercial vehicles.
