The King Engine Bearings CR 697XP is a complete connecting rod bearing set engineered for the Jaguar 4.2L inline-six engine. Part of King's XP Racing Series, this set features the advanced pMaxBlack™ tri-metal construction — purpose-built to handle the extreme loads and sustained high-RPM conditions of performance and race applications.

pMaxBlack™ Tri-Metal Technology:

  • 10,200 PSI load capacity — tri-metal Lead Bronze layered structure with a nano-scaled hardened Babbitt overlay
  • 24% stronger overlay than conventional tri-metal race bearings, with 17% greater fatigue resistance
  • SecureBond™ micro-etch process strengthens the multi-layer structural integrity, reducing risk of delamination under extreme load or metal-to-metal contact
  • Copper-based alloy intermediate layer strengthened with 4.5% tin, achieving industry-leading 115HV hardness
