The Brush Research BC10M18 Flex-Hone is a precision surface finishing and deburring tool engineered for 10mm (0.394") brake cylinders and other small-bore hydraulic and pneumatic applications. With an 8" overall length and 180 grit Boron Carbide (BC) abrasive, this flexible cylinder hone delivers a consistent, controlled surface finish ideal for medium to high carbon steels, heat-treated steels up to 50 Rc, and titanium.

Brush Research's Flex-Hone technology uses abrasive globules that are independently suspended on flexible filaments, making the tool self-centering, self-aligning to the bore, and self-compensating for wear. This low-temperature, low-pressure honing process creates a precise cross-hatch pattern on the cylinder wall — improving oil retention, enhancing seal performance, and extending seal life.
