ACDelco 8K872 Gold Serpentine Belt 8-Rib 87.2 in.

The ACDelco 8K872 is an 8-rib V-ribbed serpentine belt from ACDelco's Gold (Professional) line, engineered as a high-quality alternative to Original Equipment (OE) parts. Serpentine belts are multi-ribbed drive belts used to transfer power from the engine crankshaft to critical accessories including the alternator, power steering pump, air conditioning compressor, and water pump — all via a single continuous belt.

Key Features:

• 8-Rib K-Section construction for positive grip and efficient power transfer across all driven accessories
• 87.2 in. effective length — part number encodes rib count (8), belt profile (K), and length (872 = 87.2 in.)
• Manufactured to meet OE specifications for fit, form, and function on General Motors vehicles as well as most makes and models
• Resists penetration of water, acids, and ozone with broad temperature tolerances for reliable all-weather performance
• Multi-ribbed design creates a secure point of contact with each pulley groove for maximum traction and minimal slip
• Backed by General Motors as part of the ACDelco Gold (Professional) product family
• Some ACDelco Gold parts may have formerly appeared under the ACDelco Professional name

A worn or failed serpentine belt can result in loss of power steering, engine overheating, and accessory failure. Common warning signs include squeaking or chirping noises, visible cracking, glazing, or fraying. The ACDelco 8K872 delivers a factory-correct replacement that restores proper accessory drive performance.
