Product Details

The ACDelco D1540J is a Sun Load Temperature Sensor Assembly designed for vehicles equipped with automatic climate control systems. This sensor measures the intensity of solar radiation entering the cabin and communicates with the HVAC control module to automatically adjust interior temperature and fan speed, helping maintain consistent passenger comfort without manual intervention.

As a GM Original Equipment component, the D1540J is manufactured to the same specifications as the sensor originally installed at the factory, ensuring a precise fit and reliable performance. It is a direct replacement for worn or faulty sun load sensors that may cause erratic climate control behavior, such as overcooling or overheating of the cabin in sunny conditions.

Key Features:

  • OEM-grade sun load (solar radiation) temperature sensor assembly
  • Integrates with automatic HVAC control modules for precise cabin temperature regulation
  • Direct OEM replacement — no modification required for installation
  • Manufactured by ACDelco to GM Original Equipment standards
  • Helps restore proper automatic climate control system function

If your vehicle's automatic climate control is not compensating correctly for sunlight exposure, or if a sensor fault code has been set, the ACDelco D1540J is the factory-recommended replacement to restore full system performance.
