Cometic C5457-080 Chrysler LA MLS Cylinder Head Gasket Bore - V8 4.125 080

The Cometic C5457-080 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for Chrysler LA small block V8 engines. This high-performance gasket features a 4.125-inch bore diameter and .080-inch compressed thickness, providing an excellent balance of sealing performance and compression ratio adjustment.

Key Features:

• Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior sealing and durability
• .080-inch (2.0mm) compressed thickness for precise compression control
• 4.125-inch bore diameter accommodates standard and slightly overbored LA engines
• Advanced coating technology ensures optimal clamp load retention
• Designed to withstand extreme cylinder pressures in high-performance applications
• Compatible with Chrysler 273, 318, 340, and 360 LA small block engines

Cometic MLS gaskets feature multiple layers of stainless steel with elastomeric coatings that provide superior rebound characteristics and conformability to sealing surfaces. This design eliminates the need for sealants and provides exceptional resistance to blowout, even under extreme combustion pressures and temperatures found in turbocharged, supercharged, and high-compression naturally aspirated engines.
