Product Details

The Cometic C5118-045 is a precision-engineered Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket designed specifically for Ford 4.6L and 5.4L Modular V8 engines. This left-hand side gasket features a 92mm bore diameter and 0.045-inch compressed thickness, providing exceptional sealing performance for street and performance applications.

Key Features:

  • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction for superior durability and heat resistance
  • 0.045-inch compressed thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
  • 92mm bore diameter accommodates stock and mild performance builds
  • Left-hand side (LHS) application for Ford Modular V8 engines
  • Advanced coating technology ensures optimal sealing under extreme conditions
  • Resistant to combustion gas leakage, coolant leakage, and oil seepage

Cometic MLS gaskets utilize multiple layers of stainless steel with specialized coatings to create a gasket that can withstand extreme temperatures and pressures. The design allows the gasket to conform to minor surface imperfections while maintaining consistent clamping pressure across the entire sealing surface, making it ideal for both stock replacement and performance applications on Ford's popular Modular V8 platform.
