Product Details

The Cometic C5459-040 is a high-performance Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) cylinder head gasket engineered specifically for Chrysler B and RB series V8 engines. This gasket features a .040" compressed thickness and is designed for engines with a 4.250" cylinder bore diameter.

Key Features:

 • Multi-Layer Steel (MLS) construction provides superior sealing and durability under extreme conditions
 • .040" compressed gasket thickness allows for precise compression ratio tuning
 • 4.250" bore diameter fits standard and slightly over-bored B/RB engines
 • Stopper layer embossment controls gasket movement and provides excellent sealing around combustion chambers
 • Compatible with Chrysler B-series (361, 383, 400) and RB-series (413, 426, 440) V8 engines
 • Engineered to withstand high cylinder pressures in performance and racing applications

Cometic MLS gaskets are constructed from multiple layers of stainless steel, with each layer serving a specific sealing function. This design provides exceptional resistance to blowout, improved recovery from thermal expansion cycles, and reliable sealing even with imperfect deck surface finishes. Ideal for street performance, drag racing, and marine applications where reliability is critical.

Good products at a good price!
Never bought from them before, so I used Google Checkout, I always get nervous about buying from a new online store, but they came through just fine.
Shipping was a little expensive for the product I purchased and the shipping time, but was still cheaper than most anywhere else.
$12 to ship an automotive gauge [>2 lbs] and it was a 5 day ship.
Otherwise, a very good experience, B+ to A- just because of shipping cost/time.

Great sources,very easy ordering,outstanding prices,
I will always check their prices first !!

Great price for the item, almost half off. Good website for auto parts

Great prices, always have inventory when I need it.

Ordered a Thule Bike Rack from Autoplicity and was greatly pleased with the price. It was the best on the internet. There was an issue with the shipment of the item and some confusion but this was resolved in a professional manner by a customer service manager. Overall, I'm pleased I got a deal.
