The COMP Cams Xtreme Energy CL11-234-3 is a complete camshaft and lifter kit designed for Chevrolet Big Block engines (396-454 cu in). This hydraulic flat tappet camshaft delivers excellent mid-range torque and top-end power, making it ideal for street/strip applications and vehicles with upgraded intake and exhaust systems.

Camshaft Specifications:

  • Advertised Duration: 268°/280° (intake/exhaust)
  • Duration @ .050": 212°/218°
  • Valve Lift: .447"/.465" (intake/exhaust) with 1.7:1 rocker ratio
  • Lobe Separation Angle: 112°
  • Hydraulic flat tappet design for reliable street operation
  • RPM Range: 1,500-5,800 RPM

Complete Kit Includes:

  • Xtreme Energy hydraulic flat tappet camshaft

This cam profile provides a noticeable idle with good vacuum characteristics, making it compatible with power brakes and automatic transmissions. Best suited for engines with 9.0:1+ compression ratio, performance intake manifolds, headers, and 2,500+ RPM stall converters in automatic transmission applications. Requires valve spring upgrade for proper operation.
