EBC DP3414C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Disc Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP3414C is a low dust ceramic brake pad set designed for fast street use. It uses a synthetic fiber based brake compound enhanced with ceramic particles, and contains no steel fibre particles. This keeps brake dust down and makes the dust that does form easy to remove with a simple sponge wash.

Key Features:

• Low dust: EBC states it reduces dust by 60-90 percent, and that it emits far less dust than semi-metallic pads.
• Strong cold braking: EBC states it brakes as well as original pads or better from cold, and improves as the pad heats up.
• Fast road performance: built for repeated heavy braking. EBC states it stopped a passenger car, sport compact or hot hatch 13 metres quicker than OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph).
• Improved over earlier Redstuff: EBC states the ceramic compound lasts longer, brakes better and is quieter than the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff material.
• EBC Brake-In surface coating: conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in.
• Nominal friction coefficient: 0.5.
• Safety approval: most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to the ECE R90 brake safety regulation.

This is a hard wearing pad, so bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad conforms to the shape of the disc (brake rotor). Drivers should be patient during this period.
