The MSD 8633 Flying Magnet Crank Trigger Kit delivers race-proven ignition timing accuracy for Chrysler small block engines equipped with a 7.25-inch harmonic balancer. Unlike conventional crank trigger systems that rely on steel studs and a magnetic pickup — which can be falsely triggered by nearby bolts, debris, or engine vibrations — the MSD Flying Magnet design uses four powerful magnets permanently embedded in a billet aluminum trigger wheel that pass a stationary non-magnetic pickup, eliminating the risk of false triggering and the power loss or engine damage that can result.
