EBC DP31749C Redstuff Ceramic Low Dust Disc Brake Pad Set

The EBC Redstuff DP31749C is a low dust ceramic disc brake pad set designed for fast street driving and repeated heavy braking. The compound is a synthetic fiber base enhanced with ceramic particles, and it contains no steel fibre particles. The small amount of dust it does produce washes off easily with a simple sponge.

Key Features:

• Low dust: EBC states dust is reduced by 60-90 percent, and that the pads emit far less dust than semi-metallic pads
• Strong cold braking: brakes well from cold, comparable to or better than original pads, and improves as the pad heats up
• Synthetic fiber and ceramic compound: a newer formulation than the earlier pre-ceramic Redstuff, with longer wear life, better braking and quieter operation
• Brake-In surface coating: conditions the rotor surface and speeds up pad bed-in
• Nominal friction coefficient of 0.5
• Stopping performance: EBC reports that a passenger car, sedan, sport compact or hot hatch stopped 13 metres shorter than with OEM pads from 100 mph (160 kph)
• Regulatory approval: most EBC Red Ceramic pads are approved to ECE R90 brake safety regulation

Bed-in note: this is a hard wearing pad, and bed-in can take as long as 1000 miles while the pad takes up the shape of the disc (brake rotor). Patience during this period is needed.
